TPST RDF (Refused-derived fuel) is an Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST) into light coal fuel after reducing the size (chopping), pressing the water content and drying up to 20%. The objectives of the RDF TPST are to reduce waste coming to the Final Disposal Site (TPA), to improve environmental quality and to produce alternative complementary fuels (Co Firing) to fossil fuels (coal). Co-firing is the burning of two different types of materials together ( dhi coal and RDF). One advantage is that it can be used to burn new fuels, which are cheaper or more environmentally friendly.

The operational problem that will be faced is the large demand for electrical energy and fuel oil (BBM). In the mechanical drying method with a Rotary Dryer with a capacity of 15 tons/batch, in addition to the required electrical energy of 15 HP or 150 Kwh/batch, it takes 50 liters of diesel fuel/hour or 500 liters/batch (10 hours) to reduce the water content of the waste material from 60% to 20%

In order to meet the need for fuel for the drying machine (Rotary Dryer), various types of plastic and rubber waste (tyres) which are separated after sifting, receive a pyrolysis machine with a capacity of 5 tons/batch/day to become 3 tons of fuel oil (Marine Fuel Oil MFO) and RCO. . So from the input of 300 tons of waste / day, it is calculated that 5% of the composition of rubber plastic will be equivalent to 15 tons OR 60% of the raw materials for rubber and plastic waste as dryer fuel.

The fulfillment of electrical energy utilizes 30-40% or the equivalent of 100-120 tons of leachate mass from the dewatering process of 300 tons of waste processed by the ST Digester 1000 m3 into biogas (methane). The 300 KW Mix Fuel Generator consumes MFO/ RCO oil from pyrolysis and biogas will produce electrical energy to drive all hydraulic press machines for dewatering- conveyor- drying- shredding (shredder)- sifting and all electricity needs of TPST RDF 300 T.
